Our service, coverage & speed

What services does Quick Cargo offer?
Quick Cargo is a palletised and commercial freight carrier operating across Australia. We move freight three ways: Express (fast, dedicated point-to-point), General (cost-effective shared network) and specialised vehicles — HIAB crane trucks, Moffett forklifts, tail-lifts, flat-tops and tautliners. From a single pallet to a full truckload, we match the right service and vehicle to your load.
Is Quick Cargo a courier or a parcel service?
Quick Cargo specialises in palletised and commercial freight — pallets, crates, machinery, building materials and bulky goods that need a forklift, tail-lift, HIAB or Moffett to load or unload. We can arrange smaller consignments on request too, but we're a freight carrier rather than a general parcel courier.
Can you move parcels or smaller items?
Our focus is palletised and commercial freight, but we can arrange smaller consignments too — just mention it when you get a quote.
What areas does Quick Cargo cover?
We deliver Australia-wide. Same-day metro service runs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. General freight reaches every capital — including Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Darwin — plus most regional areas through our linehaul network.
How fast can Quick Cargo deliver?
Same-day within Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane metro, and on the Sydney–Canberra lane with a dedicated truck, when you book before the 12pm cut-off. Next-day is available on our Sydney–Melbourne and Sydney–Brisbane Express lanes. Other interstate routes are typically 2–7 business days by road depending on distance. All times are indicative and depend on your route and freight.

Quotes, booking & accounts

How do I get a quote?
Enter your pickup and delivery suburbs and your freight details on our instant quote form and you'll see indicative pricing in under 60 seconds — no sign-up needed. Get started on the quote page.
Do I need an account to book?
No — anyone can get an instant quote and book without an account. Setting up a free account lets you quote, book and track from one dashboard, and business accounts for regular shippers get discounted rates on every booking.
What is the cut-off for same-day bookings?
For standard same-day service the booking cut-off is 12:00 pm in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Booking earlier gives us the best chance of same-day pickup and delivery.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
You can cancel before pickup as long as you give enough notice — late cancellations may incur a charge. Once a driver is on the way we can't change the booking, and differences from what you booked can mean extra charges.
Is Quick Cargo suitable for small businesses as well as large ones?
Yes. We work with businesses of every size — from a single pallet to regular multi-truck volumes. No job is too big or too small.
Do you offer scheduled or tailored freight solutions?
Yes. We set up scheduled runs, recurring lanes and account pricing for businesses with ongoing freight. Tell us your requirements and we'll build a solution around them.

Vehicles & freight handling

What if my item is over 25 kg?
That's no problem — heavy freight is what we do. Items should be on a pallet, skid or crate, with lifting help such as a forklift at both pickup and delivery. If there's no forklift on site, add a tail-lift, Moffett or HIAB when you book.
What if there's no forklift at pickup or delivery?
Just add the right unloading option when you quote. A tail-lift lowers freight to ground level at sites without a dock, a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) handles rough or uneven sites, and a HIAB crane truck lifts heavy or awkward items straight off the deck.
What vehicles are in the Quick Cargo fleet?
Our fleet ranges from 4-tonne rigids up to 12-tonne trucks, semi-trailers and B-doubles, plus specialised HIAB crane trucks, Moffett forklifts, tail-lift trucks, flat-tops and tautliners. We match the vehicle to your load and site.
What if I don't know the exact weight and dimensions?
Measure and weigh your freight as packaged — including the pallet — before you book. Accurate figures keep your quote accurate; rough estimates can lead to adjustment charges.
How does Quick Cargo keep my freight safe?
Our drivers are experienced in handling and restraining palletised and heavy freight, and our trucks are fitted with tail-lifts and hydraulic tailgates for safe loading and unloading. Every consignment also includes $500 of built-in cover.
What is a consignment note?
A consignment note (con note) is the label attached to your freight before pickup. It carries your booking details and a barcode used for tracking. After you book, we email a PDF — print it and attach it to your items as instructed. Missing con notes can lead to a futile-pickup charge.

Tracking, cover & claims

Can I track my shipment?
Yes. Every Quick Cargo booking includes real-time tracking so you can follow your freight from pickup to delivery, and you'll get a login to monitor progress.
What is freight cover?
Every Quick Cargo consignment includes $500 of built-in FreightInsure cover against loss or damage. You can top up to $100,000 during booking for complete peace of mind, with zero excess on claims.
What if my goods are lost or damaged?
Once loss or damage is confirmed, you'll receive a link to lodge a digital claim online. There are no lengthy forms — claims are typically finalised within 5 business days.
